Flood Recovery Resources and Assistance Available

Following the September 13 flash flooding, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is offering free flood recovery assistance to Westport homeowners. Services include property assessment, removal of damaged items and materials, cleanup, and mold mitigation. Residents can request assistance by calling 203-628-6978 and leaving a message with their name, phone number, address, and brief description of needs. The town has also established a Storm Recovery Resource Page with information on insurance, FEMA assistance, and other recovery programs. Governor Lamont's disaster declaration for Fairfield County and contiguous counties enables impacted individuals and businesses to apply for low-interest SBA loans.
