September 13 Flood Recovery: Free Cleanup Assistance

Westport residents and homeowners affected by the September 13, 2026 flash flooding can request free cleanup assistance through Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (SBDR). The Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security engaged SBDR to provide support. Services include damage assessments, removal of damaged items and materials, cleanup, and mold mitigation. To request assistance, residents should call 203-628-6978 and leave their name, phone number, address and brief description of needs. This assistance has been added to Westport's Storm Recovery page at westportct.gov/sept13flood.
